Special lecture on Topic “From IT Student to AI-Ready Professional”
The event was attended by Mr. Chen Phirum, Deputy Director of the Center, and featured a sharing session by guest speaker Dr. Seong Saravit, an alumnus of the Korea Software HRD Center (4th Generation) who is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Chungbuk National University in the Republic of Korea, along with IT instructos and all students from the 14th Advanced Course of the Korea Software HRD Center. This seminar highlighted the evolving role of IT professionals in the AI era, emphasizing that while AI accelerates daily tasks, technical evaluation, system design, and core responsibility remain strictly human domains. The value of an IT professional lies not in merely taking ready-made answers from AI, but in correctly defining problems, verifying results, and considering ethics as well as data privacy. This topic drew great interest from all attending students. Furthermore, a commemorative photo session was held at the end of the program. It is also worth noting that starting from the 2nd semester of 2026, the Korea Software HRD Center has updated its vision and mission, transitioning from a Professional Software Training Center to becoming the first AX (AI Transformation) Specialist Professional Training Center in Cambodia. The center has prepared AI server infrastructure and various online subscription services to ensure the implementation of this mission is carried out with maximum efficiency.
